In memory of Emil

Emil von der Ölmühle, born 27 February 2003, passed away on 10 October 2003

With Emil our great love for the Irish Wolfhound began. One can say that he infected us with the IW virus. He came to us in May 2003 and I think he immediately felt very comfortable among all our dogs.

Until his 7th month of life, this little furry nose made us happy. Unfortunately he became infected in the vet’s waiting room with a very aggressive kind of kennel cough and within hours developed pneumonia. After we had finally and successfully fought it, the heart was irreparably damaged. When kidney failure set in, we let the little guy cross the rainbow bridge.
